Boston Turkish Film Festival

Boston Turkish Festival's 17th Annual Documentary and Short Film Competition provides a rare opportunity for filmmakers to have a platform in the USA for their films to reach an international audience as well as film critics. The first of its kind organized in North America, the competition has transformed to a great tradition where film enthusiasts are able to explore works of the emerging filmmakers firsthand.

The Competition Opening Night and non-competition screenings will take place at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (MFA) between November 11-12, 2022. All competition screenings are online and will be streaming between November 13-23.

There are 27 films in the program; 11 documentaries, 13 short films, and three non-competition screenings. Please check the program for details.

Members of this year's Competition Jury include:

Kurt Fendt, Film and Media Scholar
Peter Keough, Film Critic
Erin Trahan, Film Reporter and Critic

Don't forget to vote online for your favorite film(s) for the audience award after you watch the film(s)! In addition to the 'Best Documentary" and "Best Short Film" Awards to be selected by the jury, we will also announce the "Audience Awards". Therefore, we invite you all to participate in this fun process!

This program is supported in part by grants from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, and the Boston Cultural Council administered by the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture.

All films are presented with English subtitles or in English unless otherwise noted.
