Synopsis

Yusuf İres is originally an Armenian from Dersim who lives as a Muslim. At the age of 71 he decides to be baptized. His wife Emine İres (72) refuses to accept this but can’t stop herself from interrogating the past.

Uğur Egemen İRES

Uğur Egemen İres, was born in 1988 in Istanbul and graduated from School of Communication Sciences, Department of Cinema and Television, Anadolu University. He made various short films. In 2010 he had country-wide screenings in many universities and art institutions for the photography project “Thailand and Myanmar Diaries”.  His 2011 film “Water Found It’s Cleft” was screened in numerous national and international festivals.
