Synopsis
The documentary, “İstanbul’un Sesi”, portrays manufacturing of exceptional hand-made cymbals in Istanbul, characterized by the unique sound of each instrument and used by eminent musicians in the world. The film captures dazzling views and incredible musical sounds of Istanbul in the background.

Gökhan ÖCAL
Gökhan Öcal was born in 1991 in Balişeyh province of Kırıkkale. After completing his primary and secondary education in Ankara, he studied radio and television in Karabük University. Since 2014, he continues his education on radio and television in Selçuk University, Department of Radio, Cinema and Television. He has been also working in various TV channels and takes part in many projects as cameraman, editor, and director of photography. He received many awards with his first documentary, “Çatuk”, in 2014.
