Synopsis
19 September 1980. This is the life story of a village teacher, who tries to do his profession resisting to all challenges of life. He and his life live in a remote mountain village and they are unaware about the military coup which just happened. Only a few vehicles per week arrive in the village. One day a vehicle brings in the newspaper dated September 12, 1980 and everything changes. In the village where even radio broadcasts can’t be received, everyone finds out about the coups by this newspaper. Based on actual events, it is the story of our lives and yet it seems so distant from us at the same time – a mix of literature and love, and love and fire…
Alper AKDENİZ
Alper Akdeniz was born in 1979 in Mersin. He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Drama Writing. He currently works on his graduate degree in the same university. Over the years he has received 17 awards, including Rıfat Ilgaz, Uğur Mumcu, Melih Cevdet Anday, Behzat Ay Literature Awards. He has three co-authored books, two poetry books, one essay and one children’s book published.
