Synopsis
Aso fit two professions in her 75-year long life. She was first named “midwife” (ebe), 30 years ago, after helping her closest friend Latife give birth in the village. She did this profession for 20 years. When her friend Latife died, Aso’s second profession began.

Zekeriya AYDOĞAN
Zekeriya Aydoğan was born in 1978 in Diyarbakır. He was the workshop coordinator at the Mesopotamia Cinema. He does research and investigation on Kurdish history. He shot his first short film, Xal u Xwarze, in 2013 which portrays deadlocks in family relations in Kurdish society. In 2015 he made the documentary, Şilfîtazî (Naked) portraying the life of his mother who spent 40 years of her life both as a midwife and a burial washer. He currently works on his first feature project, Mirina Bav u Kur (Death of a son and a father).
