Cengiz is a refugee from Turkey living in London. He has to sign documents at the immigration office every week because he doesn’t have a work permit. He works in a fast food restaurant and tries to save money so he can buy himself a television. One day he comes very close to buying the TV of his dreams.

Mahir Güden was born in Iskenderun, Turkey. After moving to U.K. in 1997, he studied Psychology at Middlesex University. He continued his post-graduate studies first at London South Bank University, then at Reading University. He also studied Digital Filmmaking at City University. He has been working as a cognitive behavioral therapist for National Health Service since 2007. He founded Blue Arts Film Company with Mizgin Müjde Arslan in 2013. He has been regularly writing weekly columns in a local London newspaper on psychology and cultural topics. |
