After ISIS attacked Sengal where Yezidi people live, some Yezidis were forced to leave their region and their country. They became refugees all over the world, some of them living in Turkey.

HAYDAR DEMİRTAŞ

Haydar Demirtaş (Mardin/Ömerli, 1984) studied in Mardin. He was an athlete running in the first league for four years. Later he attended cinema workshop of BBC which was organized by Mardin Youth and Culture House. He attended Kent Film Evleri workshop organized by İstanbul Kültür University in 2005-2006. He received full scholarship from the Department of Communication and Design in the Faculty of Art and Design, where he graduated in 2010. His He continues to work in cinema in Mardin. His two previous documentaries, The Guest / Misafir (2013) and My Father is Making History / Babam Tarih Yapıyor (2010) received many awards and were screened in prestigious film festivals.
