“Tahtacılar / The Woodmen of Anatolia” are Alevite Turcomans who live in the mountainous areas of northern and southern coasts of Anatolia, living on wood work and carpentry. Although the historical documents are vague, it is known that they have been living in the same area for centuries. Today many still live on the same lands. This documentary portrays their daily lives and traditions. |
