A middle-aged man, an enlightened writer, isolates himself from the outside world, which he finds meaningless, and devotes himself only to writing in his one-room house. One day while working at the typewriter, he accidentally drops and breaks the globe on his desk. In search of a new world, the writer embarks on a journey full of inner reckoning.

Hüseyin URÇUK

huseyin urcukHüseyin Urçuk (born in Akhisar, Manisa, 1983) was actively involved in theater during high school and has worked as both an actor and director in many private theaters. While maintaining his engineering education and career, he began focusing on photography and cinema productions starting in 2012. His first experimental short film, entitled Entropy, participated in numerous festivals in Turkey and abroad, winning multiple awards. Following this, he received several awards for his short film script, Barcode. In 2019, he also acted in the fictional short film Dragon, for which he had written the script. In 2020, he completed his second bachelor's degree at Istanbul University's Faculty of Communication, Department of Radio, Television and Cinema. In 2021, he produced and directed the short documentary film Isolation about the first days of the pandemic. He followed this with an experimental short film titled Clothesline in 2022 and a fictional short film titled Sewing Machine in 2023. The director, who values both theoretical and practical education, continues his studies in the Visual Communication Design department at Anadolu University while pursuing his engineering career and artistic endeavors in the Fethiye district of Muğla. Some of Urçuk’s previous works received awards or were finalist at BTF’s Documentary & Short Film Competition: Entropy (Finalist, 2017), Dragon (Finalist, 2020), Clothesline (Special Mention, 2023), Sewing Machine (Special Screening, 2024).
