Step into the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and discover the deep connections between your cultural heritage and world history. Did you know that the oldest artifact in the MFA comes from Syria and the second oldest is from Türkiye? On this 60-minute interactive tour, we will trace Anatolia’s role at the crossroads of civilizations through remarkable works of art and artifacts. Together we will explore objects from Anatolia on display and visit the ancient Greek and Roman galleries, studying how trade, empire, and cultural exchange shaped the region.

We will also encounter textiles, ceramics, and mosaics made by the diverse peoples of the region. Our journey will continue into the Arts of Islamic Cultures Gallery, where we will visit the Ottoman Room, immersing ourselves in the elegance of daily life and artistry. We invite you to see Anatolia not only as the bridge between East and West but also as a center of innovation, beauty, and resilience throughout history.
