The film takes place in a workshop of Iznik in the 16th century. A researcher-narrator explains how the ceramic masters, in their search for porcelain find the “Çini”. The hero, Bahtiyar Usta (Master Bahtiyar), is a real Çini Usta in nowadays Iznik; and his two sons, enliving his youth, are also ceramists.
