
Snowflakes is a documentary focusing on life experiences of albinos in Turkey. Albinism affects people’s daily and social lives and personal relationships so that they feel this effect on educational and career opportunities. This film is based on interviews with albinos and their families, as it emphasizes the work of Turkish Albinism Association.

ELİF NUR KAYALAR
Elif Nur Kayalar (Ankara, 1994) grew up and lived in Ankara until she moved to Istanbul to study in the cinema and television department of Istanbul Şehir University in 2012. She was accepted in 2014 to study in the department of sociology with double major. She participated in the establishment of school radio and worked as a radio programmer. She was among the founders of the university’s media association. She worked at the TRT (Turkish Radio and Television) Documentary Days. Throughout her student years she worked in different capacities in making of student films. She finished working on her first documentary, as director and producer, “Snowflakes”, in June 2017. The film continues its festival journey.
